My last Year at Primary!

Welcome back bloggers of the world. Today I will be blogging about my last year at Waikowhai Primary School. Leaving the school can be hard because you are leaving friends that you know and grew up with at the school. Things that I really enjoyed during my school years was when I went to Mt Ruapehu, sports zones and trips to the zoo. The things that I really enjoyed at this school was production and ski trip. Athletics

Welcome back bloggers, Today I will be talking about Athletics on the 2 of November.  We had to be at school before 9.00 and we started at 9.15. We were put in age groups. In my group I had ten and eleven boys. We all had to go to different stations and the different stations were shot put, high jump, long jump, sprints, tennis and the 400 meter run. when we had  finished  all the activities we had to go into our house groups and we had relays for the last activity. It was lots of fun and and I had an amazing time as this was my last athletics at a Primary School  my blog post and here are some photos. :)

  

Rugby ZONES!

Kia ora world, Tipiloma here. Today my blog post will be about rugby zones. On Tuesday two weeks ago we went to rugby zones at Fearon Park. We played six games and we played Hay Park, May Road and the Barbarians. There were under weight games for people that wanted to do riper rugby instead of playing rugby. There were people that got injured but some people still played. Here are some photos of the day.

N.E.D show

Welcome to another blog post.Today I will be talking about the NED show. We had a NED show and there was a man that was doing the show. While he was doing the show he had yo-yos to do some of the things. He did magic tricks as well as he was doing the show. He talked about the schools where he went to do the show. He talked about what happend in the morning and what happend to NED. NED said that he wouldn't come to Waikowhai Primary School and present the show but then when he got caught by the aliens he thought about the kids and so he came to Waikowhai Primary School. Interland cybersmart game

Welcome back to another blog, Tipiloma here. Today I will be talking about Interland. Interland is a game but not a game you just play around with. It is a game were it teachers you to not be mean and not to share information with your friends. There are four islands and the first one is Kind kingdom, Realty River, Tower of Treasure and Mindful Mountain. There are levels in the game, For Kind Kingdom you have to go up hills and collect comments and you press space then it will give the character a good comment and the character will be happy. Interland 

Our technology

Talofa bloggers welcome back to another blog. Today I will be talking about a technology  in our class room. There are  three rooms and we had to do each station and the three stations. The first station was put a technology challenge. We had to make our marble stay on our bridge,  we had  limited time and we had to make our bridge as long and if it was long then we would win.

Our second challenge was we had to make a circuit with an L.E.D light and with a small battery. We had to make our small L.E.D light go on by using some stuff to make our light switch on and we used spilt pins and we used cardboard papers and pins. We had to make our L.E.D lights turn on by using a battery.

Our third challenge was to make a Geo Board out of wood, nails, saw to cut the wood. So first we cut the wood in to four pieces of wood then we went to put dots on our wood so we can see were we are going to put the nail in and when we were finished we could go outside and hammer the nails into the wood and once we were done we could put some rubber bands on the nails and create a pattern.

My favourite thing to do out of the technology was the Geo Board because we got to use a saw to cut the wood and doing the hammer.

Our new play ground

Welcome back bloggers! Today I will be talking about our new playground. Last week on Thursday we had an opining for our playground because over the holidays the builders were making our playground. When they opened the new playground the seniors had to take one of the Juniors on to the playground and show them how to play on it. As well, we all got to have a turn on it and there was music playing in the background when we were on it. Here are some photos of the playground.

Improving comments

We had to go on a site which is called improving comments and it was made on a goggle drawing and there were information to what we had to do. My five and my ten times table

Kia Ora bloggers. Welcome back to another blog post. Today I will be talking about my five times table  that I have being doing in class. In class we had to go on number pieces and make groups of five times tables and when we finished the first  five times we had to take a screenshot of our times table and put it on a google drawing and we had to repeat the process, and I did my 10 times table but they were easy so I went between 10 and 20 but my ten . Blogging about the zoo

WALT: Report, Recount and Reflect 

When:Thursday June the 14th  Auckland zoo. 

Where: Western Springs.

What:We walked around looking for facts about the animals.

why: We are studying about the animals at school.

Who: We went with our teachers and parents that helped along the trip.

How: We got there on a double decker bus to the zoo.

We had to find birds and we were in groups. Who ever found the most birds would win and then we found a bird that was just sitting on the bridge of the rail. The bird was a kereru and it had a big chest and the colours  where blue and black but the blue was shiny.

When we were all together in our groups we had to think of a name before we go in to the bug lab  and my groups name was maggots my group got to go first into the bug lab. It was scary at first but then I got used to it then me and my friends stated scaring people.

In class we have been doing art right from the start of the term. We had to find a animal of what we were going to draw and I did a puokeo here is a photo of it.               
                                                                                   

Materials:

Acrylic paint 4 colours. 

Brushes  1 small brush. 

Paper papers on the table. 

Here are the steps to what we had to do. 

1. We had to find a photo of an animal that we were going to draw.

2. We did it on our chromebook and on google drawing and some of us did it in our art book. 

3. Then we had to draw the outline of our bird and rule up some shapes.

4. Then we did painting on our bird
5. Then we let the paint dry
6. Then we went over the first coat
7. Then we did another coat

What I really like about the work was the painting  and the drawing.
What I would I change is the bird in to a Tui.

animal description in mario

Kia ora welcome back to another blog. In class we have been doing some work around Te Reo, We had to try and find out the correct name in mario for the animal and we had to have half done or else we would not go outside. So I did half of the work and we had to search the mario names for the animals in mario. Here is my work.

Healthy seas and Healthy People

Kia Ora Welcome back to another blog. In class we have been learning about the sea, what we need to look after our sea and what would happen if our sea was full of rubbish. I learnt if we throw rubbish into the sea what will happen to our sea animal and what it will do. I made  a Google Drawing about healthy seas and healthy people and here it is. Learn about Jesus

Kia ora welcome to my blog. Over the Easter I went to church and I learnt about jesus and what he did for us and this is what I remember. Jesus gave his life for us and  sacrificed his life, Even though he wasn't a criminal. But I learnt to be good and respect our parents and god. Thank you for looking at my blog. Blog you later.

We are working on using descriptive language by sharing our writing straight onto our blog.  The challenge we have is to describe a place using only six sentences. After reading the description you need to guess the place that has been described. It would really help if you say what clues helped you come to this conclusion.
1.The sun shines at me when ever I move.
2.when I stay in the sun I can get tan.
3.I am surround by the big and tall trees.
4.As I swim I see lots of people swimming too.
5.As I come out of the sea water comes up to my feet.
6.When I leave I can see the beautiful sundown.
